Despite the warning in the title, I couldn't wait to gobble up this story. I've read several of Ms. Mill's books, but this is my favorite so far. She has populated this story with realistic lead characters - Chad and Piper - who have very relatable emotions and conflicts. There were times I got exasperated with Piper. Couldn't she see what a primo catch Chad was? And other times when I got upset with Chad for almost blowing the whole thing. But in between I was more than happy to go along for the ride(s) through several deliciously detailed love scenes. Whew! That filling really IS hot! The secondary characters are also well done. They add to the story and make the stakes even higher. You will be rooting for everyone - even Angela - to have his or her HEA. Treat yourself to a few blissful hours reading Caution: Filling is Hot.

Piper Frost has just left a bad relationship, no way is she ready for another, platonic is on the menu for her. He can't get enough of her and, if she'd admit it to herself, she can't get enough of him. She stubborn, tries to be hard-hearted, all to no avail. She finds herself falling not on for Chad, but his twins as well. Which sends her skyrocketing in the other direction... she not commitment material. Or is she?

Caution Filling is Hot is both sweet and cute, sprinkled with laugh out loud moments, and hot sex round out this full length romance. Recommended for the romance lover and connoisseur of fine cuisine. Caution Filling is Hot is perfect read for a cold winter's night or a fun beach read.

Just as Piper, at long last, realizes Chad has gotten under her skin, I’m betting you will realize at the end of the novel that you’ve become very fond of Piper and Chad.

I took me a while to get into the story. The first few pages weren’t too promising. I felt Chad’s advances were too ‘stalkerish’, and at the same time Piper’s rejections were too cold and aggressive. However, once Piper relented and decided hanging out with his family was not such a terrible thing after all, their dynamics shifted and their chemistry felt more apparent. Their characters became more pronounced and their motives clearer and more reasonable once their backgrounds were explained.

I was charmed by Chad’s family, both his twins and his mother. They were all a nice comic relief without being stock figures. Apart from that, they also managed to show deeper nuances of Piper’s character through their interactions with her; this was especially true of the children. Piper’s best friend Joy was also indispensable for the story, functioning almost like a catalyst with her constant jibes at Piper, and then ultimately making Piper realize she’s no better than Mick whom she’s blamed for a lot of problems in her life.

The pace of the story was just right, aided by the fact that Chad’s and Piper’s dates were never dull, instead they always involved some unusual activity and fun company. It was thrilling to watch them fighting their emotions, especially when Piper’s resistance and Chad’s misinterpretation of a situation led to a critical point in the story that was fraught with angst. It took Piper a long time to recognize her feelings, but her development seemed believable.

Caution Filling is Hot is both a story of love at first sight and a story about stubborn denial. It’s a story about passion and devotion. It’s also a story about healing and overcoming tragic loss and grief.

If there were a dictionary entry for "great summer read," "Caution Filling is Hot" would be the definition you'd find there. It's the story of how a man who finds the woman he's been looking for just when she's decided she's taking a break from relationships, gets her to change her mind. And it's a good one.

Chad Thomas is ready to get a personal life back after losing his wife in a car crash and raising his twin son and daughter by himself . Piper Frost is a chef who has just come off the relationship from hell. She has made a list of what she wants from the next guy--pretty much 180 degrees away from the last guy--but she has no intention of using the list for a long while. Chad knows from the minute he sees Piper that she's the one. But it takes a well-organized campaign to convince her. He calls in all the troops--his kids, his mother, Piper's co-worker and friend, his friends, an entire baseball league! For the reader, this supporting cast makes the journey to happily-ever-after as enjoyable as The Fruit Bowl and the Dancing Bear Band were for Chad's kids (read the book and find out!)

Of course there's a complication or two--including Piper's ex coming back on the scene to make things interesting but in the end, Chad's sexy smile and smoldering kiss get the attention they deserve. This book should get the attention it deserves from readers looking for a fun read this summer.

I like this author and enjoyed the first story I read from her "Accidents Make the Heart Grow Fonder" so much, I had to try this one. It's funny, quirky, a little angst, but I still enjoyed it. I'll look for others from her in the future. Happy reading!
